ABOUT ME

Hellooooo, How are you???

Thank you for coming to my website. It’s so lovely to have you here.

Let me introduce myself (if you are new here)…..My name is Tracey Shield and I am a Singer/Songwriter, Actress, and one of the world’s leading Celine Dion tribute artists. I am from the UK but I have travelled all the way around the world with my passion of music and singing.

Singing is my life. It’s who I am. My whole being. The reason why I exist.

I have an extensive taste in music, ranging from Celine and Streisand to Deaf Havana and BTS (yes, I am an Army)

I LOVE MUSIC!!!

I have performed since a little girl. I first took the stage aged 10 and never looked back.

I have appeared in a number of shows and taken the lead role in many including, Fastrada in Pippin, Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street and Betty Rogers I  The Will Rogers Follies. These shows were performed by the Youth Operetta Group, YOG, where I was lucky enough to spend 10 years of my young life. I certainly learnt my craft.

I was lucky to go professional quite early in my singing career. I became a “ShowRed” at Butlins and even had the lead role as Lady Sheila Butlin in The Billy Butlin Story at the London Palladium. I sung in numerous in bands and debuting cabaret at Butlins which took me to my working for the formidable Tony Carnagie in The Tony Carnagie show, where my tribute to Celine was born. Within this touring show I would impersonate many singers including Celine, Barbra Streisand, Cyndi Lauper, Spice Girls, Dolly Parton and Abba.

Then the TV beckoned. In October 2000, I got a taste of stardom after winning my heat in “Stars In Their Eyes” on ITV performing as Celine Dion. I came 3rd Overall in the Grand Final with 131,000 Votes. After the show, my full Celine show was developed and "An Evening with Celine Dion' started its journey around the world.

I started my cruise ship career in 2006 and it became my world. The memories I have made whilst travelling to some incredible places will always make me so grateful to Royal Caribbean, Princess, Cunard, NCL, Crystal, P&O, and Oceania Cruises. I have made life long friends and seen some of the most amazing countries. If it wasn’t for Covid-19 then I’d still be bobbing around in the ocean.

In 2007 I needed to record and I went into the studio and recorded my first album 'What You're Made Of', an album of cover songs. Followed by my second album '2' in 2014.

In November 2016 I went back to my classical theatre roots, and appeared in '4Play Productions' performance of 'Into The Woods' as the Witch at The Belgrade Theatre B2 in Coventry. A role of a lifetime and where my life took another turn, as I met my writing partner Kevin Duncan, founder of GingerDog Records.

My song writing skills were put to the test with Kevin in 2017 and my beautiful album ‘Found’ was created. Written and recorded at GingerDog Studios, ‘Found’ infuses Country/Rock/Pop and is one of my greatest achievements in life. Do you have your copy?

In 2019, I released my single “Loving You’ which went to number 4 in the iTunes Country chart. You can watch my video for this beautiful song on this website. You can also find all my music on Spotify, iTunes and google music, just follow the links below.

In 2020 Covid-19 hit!!! Stopping my performing and music career dead in it’s tracks. I won’t lie, it’s been an absolute nightmare. The thing that makes me has been my life for so many years has gone! But us performers can’t be locked down for too long and perform once again I will.

My Celine theatre tour show “One night with Celine”  should have started in 2020, but will now have its premier in 2021, please watch out for dates and venues.

I had the privilege to record the game show “I Can See Your Voice” which was aired on BBC1 Saturday prime time TV on 17th April 2021. You can see my clip on BBC iPlayer or YouTube.
